Are you a migrant living in Western Australia? Are you having difficulty finding work in your chosen field?
The Kaleidoscope Initiative is for you! 

The Kaleidoscope Initiative provides free five-day Workplace Readiness Training and a 12-week one-on-one Mentoring Program for migrants of any visa background wanting to reconnect with their chosen field in WA.

The Kaleidoscope Initiative is a partnership between the Australian Red Cross and Evolve WA and is funded by the WA Department of Training and Workforce Development.

About the Kaleidoscope Initiative

The Kaleidoscope Initiative aims to reduce your employment barriers and improve your employment opportunities by preparing you for Australian workplaces and helping you to unlock industry networks.

To be suitable and eligible for the Kaleidoscope Initiative, you must be:

  • a migrant of any visa background living in Australia for less than 10 years
  • entitled to work and study in Australia 
  • confident in written and spoken English
  • unemployed or underemployed, or not employed in your formal profession.

Workplace Readiness Training

Kaleidoscope’s Workplace Readiness Training is a five-day development program that will boost your job readiness and employability by giving you the tools you need to seek, secure and maintain professional jobs in Australia.

Participants who complete all five days of the Workplace Readiness Training become eligible for the Kaleidoscope Mentoring Program (KMP).

Kaleidoscope Mentoring Program

The Kaleidoscope Mentoring Program (KMP) will help you connect locally with your profession and improve your employment potential by matching you with a mentor from your industry or occupation.

Over weekly 90-minute sessions, your mentor will give you industry-specific guidance to help you build professional networks, increase your knowledge of recruitment practices and gain a better understanding of your profession locally to increase your chances of securing meaningful employment.
